NDP Profil: a web experience that runs from product catalogue to quote request
We designed a website for NDP Profil that brings the corporate story, the product catalogue and material calculation tools together. Finding a product, reviewing its technical details and turning the need into a quote request are handled in one flow.

Challenge
Presenting a wide range of technical products in a clear catalogue, and combining product research, approximate material estimates and quote requests in a single web experience.
Strategy
- We organised 29 products into five main groups and built the catalogue and product detail flow.
- We tied calculation options for four different systems to the material list and quote steps.
- We supported the technical story with profile cross-sections, a wall diagram and mobile layouts.
Results
The result is a website that brings together the corporate presentation, a 29-product catalogue, four calculation options and the quote request.
01The need Presenting technical products in a clear structure
NDP Profil’s products cover many applications, from wall and ceiling profiles to connectors, screws and corner pieces. Presenting this range in an orderly catalogue and showing visually how the products are used was the focus of the project.
We designed the experience both for visitors who want to learn about the company and for users researching a specific product, size or material requirement.
02Strategy Connecting product, application and contact
We shaped the site around three core tasks: finding the product, understanding its technical information and sending the list of needs to the sales team. The product groups on the home page, the catalogue, product details and calculators were brought together as sections that support this flow.
The corporate presentation covers the production facilities, brands and company story, while product research and quote requests stay visible throughout. The corporate story and product-focused use meet on the same site.
03Catalogue 29 products in 5 main groups
We organised the catalogue into five main groups: wall profiles, ceiling profiles, connectors, bolts and screws, and corner pieces. All 29 products sit within this structure, with browsing by group and product search built into the catalogue.
Product cards show the name, product code and category together. Detail pages combine product images, material information and the relevant dimensions with quote and WhatsApp links.
04Calculation From measurements to an approximate material list
One of the site’s functional sections is the calculator built for four different systems: plasterboard partition walls, plasterboard suspended ceilings, T24 ceiling tiles and clip-in ceilings.
By entering their measurements and the options that fit the application, users see an approximate material list. The result lists profiles, fixings and complementary materials together, and can be carried into a quote request, shared on WhatsApp, copied or printed.
We defined the results as approximate quantities for a preliminary estimate, making the step from product research to a list of needs part of the web experience.
05Visual storytelling From cross-section to application
To support the technical information we added a profile cross-section explorer and an interactive diagram of a plasterboard wall’s components. The explorer lets visitors compare profiles and jump to the related product page.
The wall anatomy section shows how the parts relate to the products. By explaining where profiles, screws and complementary elements sit in the system, it presents the catalogue together with application knowledge.
06Interface Bringing an industrial identity online
The interface uses the brand’s red, anthracite and light tones with large headlines, production imagery and technical product drawings. The corporate home page, the catalogue and the calculators share one design language.
On desktop and mobile, the menu, product browsing and contact areas are arranged for each screen size. In information-heavy sections such as product details and the calculator, we made sure the content can be followed step by step.
07Result One structure from corporate presentation to quote request
For NDP Profil we built a web experience that presents 29 products in five main groups and combines product details, calculation options for four systems and visual application guides.
The result gathers getting to know the company, researching products, estimating material needs and requesting a quote on one website. This case study covers the project’s web design and functional scope.
